US fest hosting Iran short ‘Weekend’

Iranian short film ‘Weekend’ has been attending the Fear no Film-Utah Arts Festival in the US.

The 17th edition of the American film event has completed its competition lineup with Ario Motevaqe’s short flick.

‘Weekend’ narrates the story of two families who go camping in a park during the weekend. Although it seems they are there to spend the end of the week holiday, it will turn out that they have other purposes.

Fardin Qaderi, Mostafa Latifikhah, Sahar Taherkhani, Maliheh Esfandiyari and Bardiya Shariati are the cast members of the short.

The film has already attended a number of global events and won honors. For instance, the IndieFEST Film Festival in the Us has given its Merits award to it and also it has been well received by the audience and jury members of the Philosophical Film Festival in Macedonia.

The Fear No Film- Utah Arts Festival is a cultural event which is dedicated to various forms of art such as music, poem, film, cooking and visual arts.

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus around the world, this year’s edition of the event is holding online every Friday throughout the month of June.
